BEC PAULE-FONT
DIRECTOR | SOLICITOR
Bec Paule-Font is the founder and principal of Novus Legal. She holds a Juris Doctor, a Legal Practice Diploma and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Newcastle.
Bec was admitted to practice law in 2019. She originally started her career in commercial and estate litigation, however quickly found a passion in family law and has since enjoyed practicing in all three areas since.
Bec is a particularly committed advocate for people experiencing domestic abuse and firmly believes that cost should never be a barrier to seeking help. Bec would love to see the term domestic violence retired in favour of domestic abuse, a term that, at least in her mind, better reflects the many ways harm can occur within relationships, beyond physical violence alone. She also serves on the board of the Newcastle Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service in an effort to help improve access to justice.
Bec lives in Lake Macquarie with her family and considers being a mum her proudest achievement to date (the law degree was considerably less challenging). Outside of work you will usually find her on Lake Macquarie, at the beach, or dreaming of the next holiday.
